Cirrus Logic are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator for a 6 month fixed term contract to help lead the administration, maintenance and operations of the company wide Windows server, VMware, Exchange, Office 365, Azure and other back-end systems on premise and in cloud environments. This is a Hybrid position, 2+ days week in our modern state-of-the-art office in the centre of Edinburgh.
Responsibilities:
- Design and support corporate storage solutions including multiple SAN and backup storage systems
- Manage and optimize corporate identity management systems including Active Directory, Azure AD and Okta
- Design and implement consistent standards and methodologies within own team and other global IT teams.
- Optimize existing monitoring and alerting of systems that are in your area of responsibility
- Be a senior escalation point within own and peer teams to help diagnose and resolve complex issues
- Proactive updates to systems so they are kept current and on the latest versions and patch levels
- Creation, validation and enhancement of all relevant documentation including policies, procedures and standard methodologies
Required Skills:

- Thorough understanding of HA environments across all platforms
- Recent involvement with companywide BCDR projects
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance tuning skills

- Server Patching (Tanium)
- Thrive in an environment that is heavily team focused but where you often work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills along with leadership qualities such solutions-focused approach, consensus building and willingness to make difficult decisions
This position is based in Edinburgh, UK
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You will ideally be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting.
