I was talking to a recruiter I work with who let me know about a well-Funded Start-up that produces a patented surge protection device specifically designed for use in the over voltage and over current protection of telecommunication and data communications systems. The device is produced as a component for use in-circuit or in aftermarket protection systems. It provides extremely effective, wide bandwidth circuit protection against lightning, power induction, power cross and short circuit events.

This company is looking for a:

Senior Device Design Engineer

Location Sunnyvale, California (Candidates must be located in the Silicon Valley)

Salary $100,000 to $130,000 (Stock Options included)

Job Description
This Well-Funded Start-Up is seeking the services of a silicon design/product expert to assist in the development and commercialization of highly specialized integrated circuits for the surge protection industry.

The suitable candidate shall be a senior power device engineer with 10 to 20 years experience in designing, prototyping, manufacturing, and packaging high voltage monolithic power IC structures. The ideal candidate will have recent experience with both MOS-gated power devices (MOSFETS) and JFETs.

The right candidate will also have connections with semiconductor foundries.
