Customer Technology Manager

Applied Materials is the world's leading supplier of products and services to the global semiconductor industry. The Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) Business Group develops, manufactures and markets cutting edge Metrology and Inspection tools for the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers.

We are inviting you to lead with us. We have the following position open in multiple locations for winning professionals:

Job Specific Knowledge and Experience


  • MS degree in engineering/ physics / material/ chemistry
  • 5 years of fab experience, with at least 2 years in either integration or yield group
  • Experience in management position with ability to influence tool purchase decision
  • PhD in engineering/ physics / material/ chemistry
  • 8 years of fab experience, with at least 4 years in either integration or yield group
  • Serves as yield or integration section manager, responsible for tool purchase decision

This role is responsible for managing all technical engagement with our customers (post and pre sale). Bring an added value to customers by identifying their needs and matching the right solutions by PDC products/ projects. Support PDC account and business managers in the technical management of opportunities including leading product demonstrations and evaluations. Communicate customer needs to MRS.

CTMs bring great value to customers, account, PDC business managers and PDC product groups by facilitating and orchestrating high level technical projects. To succeed in their role CTMs should be up to date with customer technology challenges and roadmap, PDC solution portfolio and identify account business opportunity. CTMs should be considered as the technical authority by the customer and promote PDC business and priority. This job requires the ability to be PDC advocate in front of the customer and the customer advocate when dealing with PDC.

The outcome should be better business results, better PDC products, better utilization of PDC products and higher customer satisfaction
