The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving >40,000 employees.
 

Role and responsibilities

As the Operations Improvement Manager you engage in continuous improvement of our work processes, mainly in daily operations. You identify opportunities for improvement and work with the operational teams to debottleneck and streamline processes, eliminate process waste, clarify roles and responsibilities, and specify requirements for supporting tools and systems.

You work with your peers as well as our suppliers to ensure proper alignment of processes to arrive at effective, efficient and transparent work processes.

Peers in your team are the Technical Facility and Services Managers, Facility Shutdown Manager and Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager.

You will report to the Manager Operations/Tactical Asset Management.

Your tasks

  • Contain and resolve issues re. service quality and performance; ensure issue resolution & continuous improvements.

  • Identifying operational improvement opportunities and managing development and implementation.

  • Facilitate operational compliance with (tailored) asset management processes.

  • Support Technical Facility Managers in coordinating suppliers regarding practical implementation of changes to service levels or scope of work.

Education and experience

  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, asset management or business administration or otherwise relevant discipline.

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certified.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.

  • Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, creating room for innovation/creativity, coaching & collaborating.

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants.

  • Fluent in spoken and written business English.
