We’re looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Junior Product Test Technician to join us at Cirrus Logic. You will be supporting the development of production test solutions for high volume manufacture of sophisticated mixed signal semiconductors. The position will require you to work a dayshift/backshift rotation.

Responsibilities:

    • Assist engineers and senior technicians in the mechanical setup and monitoring of ATE hardware including pick and place handlers, wafer probers and Teradyne test systems.
    • Support breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of production tests development hardware.
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
    • Test engineering samples and customer returns on ATE.
    • Debug, repair and verify complex engineering and production PCB load boards.
    • Assist Test and Product Engineering teams with introduction of new production hardware.
    • Support inventory control in-house and with subcontractors.
    • Perform repair and modification of PCB’s, which can involve the reading and interpretation of electronic schematics.

Skills and Qualification:

    • HNC in Electronics or Mechatronics. Apprenticeship or vocational training in a relevant field.
    • Soldering skills and knowledge of PCB repair techniques are desirable.
    • Basic understanding of electronics components.
    • Ability to read basic circuit and wiring diagrams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills with attention to detail.
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Core computing skills.
This position is based in our Edinburgh office and will require you to work a dayshift/backshift rotation.
