Introduction to the job
At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing you will support the production of optical components, assemblies as well as systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics for our high-tech small series, single part and prototype production.
With specific R&D and manufacturing know-how, we develop and produce components for ASML Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) systems, including wafer boards, reticle chucks and mirror blocks. Our craftsmanship in precision manufacturing, coupled with our expertise in optical manufacturing technology, makes us the global center of excellence for optics and wafer chuck technology within the ASML family.
Your tasks
- Technical and disciplinary management as well as continual development of the directly assigned engineering areas (Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance) with their specialist group heads.
- Development and improvement of existing products and processes in production
- Development and advancement of the roadmap for the introduction of new products (NPI) and processes in production
- Supporting production to ensure unit volume targets and in the planning and control of process flows
- Collaboration and management of internal interfaces with the neighboring IT, D&E and Technology departments
- Collaboration with the international teams on global development and integration processes (Veldhoven, Wilton, etc.)
- Responsibility for structural and process optimizations (e.g. product mix and product volume adjustments, approach to improve lead time, process quality/ yield)
- Preparation and follow-up of CAPEX planning
- Implementation of budget and investment planning as well as medium to long-term scheduling and resource planning in coordination with Production, Development, Technology and IT Management
- Production controlling and regular reporting of relevant key figures
- Stakeholder management
- Selection of new employees, interdepartmental personnel management and responsibility for the achievement of employee targets
- Responsibility for creating a working environment in the area where employees feel challenged and motivated, can add value and develop further
Your qualifications
- German university degree (Diplom)/ Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or an equivalent field of study
- Several years of experience in manufacturing high-tech engineering products
- At least five years of experience in a leadership role
- Professional experience in an international high-tech environment is an advantage
- Experience in the successful implementation of optimization projects
- Good knowledge in the Six Sigma concept
- Very good knowledge of the common MS Office applications e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- ERP knowledge, ideally SAP
- Very good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
