ASML has launched its transformation towards ASML Business Services (ABS) to deliver world-class transactional & operational support services organized around E2E processes.

To realize our ambition, we are looking for a Manager Financial Control to strengthen one of our Finance Operations teams in Veldhoven. Each Finance Operations sub-team is responsible for the accounting and internal control framework of specific E2E processes for consolidated ASML financial statements and for statutory financial statements of European entities.

As Manager Financial Control, you will manage activities with hands-on experience and drive continuous improvements in collaboration with representatives from the business and different expertise areas (such as legal, accounting, customs and tax). You will also support the transition to our future system landscape according to our road map.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Sub-team lead, ensure proper staffing and foster team and individual growth
  • Ensure appropriate accounting
  • Preparation of applicable disclosures for the purpose of Annual Report
  • Preparation of applicable deliverables to Internal stakeholders
  • Execution of relevant SOX controls
  • Challenge, automate and standardize where possible the current way of working
  • Drive Improvement Initiatives

Education and experience

  • Master's working and thinking level
  • RA (Registered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or its equivalent
  • 7-12 years relevant working experience in accounting and multinational environment
  • Experience in managing a team is preferred
  • Big 4 experience is required
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Experienced in SAP ECC, SAP Workflow, and has affinity with BI tools especially Spotfire (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Has worked with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX)
  • Knowledge and experience with LEAN (preferred but not required)

Context of the position

The position will manage a team of financial controllers, and ultimately reports to the Team Lead within Finance Operations Europe.

Position in the organization

The Manager Financial Control is part of ASML Business Services organization. Finance Operations is responsible for the E2E accounting process for ASML worldwide, supporting the business and providing management information as well as ensuring external compliance.
