Introduction

Are you an experienced Scrum Master who is eager to learn and apply Agile principles to help ASML expand its fast growing business?

ASML IT is working Agile according SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). All Agile teams are organized in Agile Release Trains (ARTs). The Identity & Access Management (IAM) ART is responsible  for providing state-of-the-art  and seamless IAM and Cryptography capabilities and services to the whole of ASML (globally). All teams within the ART work Agile and are moving into a DevOps way of working - you build  it,  you  own  it!  The  IAM  ART  consists  of  teams  in  the  domains  of  Identity  Governance  & Administration  (IGA),  Access  Management  (AM),  Directory  Services,  Privileged  Access  Management (PAM) and Cryptography Services (CS).

Your Mission

As Scrum Master you are a servant leader with strong coaching skills and broad (scaled) agile experience. You train your team(s) on Scrum practices, facilitate Scrum events and continuously stimulate your team(s) to improve to highly autonomous yet highly aligned team(s). You are working in close consultation with the Release Train Engineer and other Scrum Masters to improve the ART and guide the ART to a next level of agile maturity.

You will be helping your team & the ART reach new heights with regards to predictability, quality and agile mindset within the team, but also within the ART. All of this includes guidance to an offshore team and working in an international culture where collaboration with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, RTE and many other stakeholders is of critical importance.

Your responsibilities

Being a Scrum Master within ASML first of all means being a servant leader and natural facilitator. In your role you carry the responsibilities for coaching the team to the next level of agile and DevOps maturity.

You facilitate and support your team(s) in any way needed to deliver value and for that you organize and facilitate scrum events, signal and remove impediments, help the team(s) to stay focused, to automate the hell out of it and more. You ensure coordination between teams within the ART and you ensure that the team(s) follows guardrails and stick to the definition of Done. You make the team(s) feel accountable themselves for fixing all technical issues and you are driving relentless process and technical improvement by being the stimulating force behind your team(s) and individuals in the team(s).

This role is situated in the Identity and Access Management Domain where our people are proud to be best in class in enabling the business with automated Directory, IGA, AM, PAM and Cryptography solutions. The ART is organized in approx. 8 DevOps teams and all teams are a mixture of young talent and senior specialists with a strong focus on delivering business value for our stakeholders.


Who are we looking for?

You’re a SAFe evangelist, Agile has no secrets anymore. You’re driven by a highly complex and ever changing environment,  are a competent strategic and systems thinker, can influence team members and stakeholders in order to drive change. You’re highly-motivated, have a strong work ethic, are sensitive to the needs of people and teams in an international culture, bring a lot-of positive energy, you are self-starting and work effectively under minimal supervision. All of the above based on excellent English communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • The possession of PSM/CSM I certification
  • A MSc. degree in Information Technology, Data Science or equivalent is preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Identity and Access Management is a plus
  • Multi-year experience in IT in a corporate organization
  • PSM II or A-CSM is preferred
  • Agile and or SAFe and other leadership certifications are again preferred
  • A valid work permit for The Netherlands is a must.
