Job Mission

As an analog electronics design engineer, you will define, realize, qualify, document, manage and maintain various analog electronic designs by using Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) technology for both existing and new ASML products. Furthermore, you will contribute to defining the next generation of these products in close cooperation with the electronics architect.

Job Description

An analog electronics design engineer within EUV PCBA & ELF Design group is responsible for the following:

  • Design analog electronics by using PCBA technology:
    • Requirement engineering: Define, align and agree on functional and performance requirements,
    • Concept design: Perform trade-off studies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for new or changed functions, get agreement with stakeholders,
    • Circuit design: Work on final implementation in accordance with design guidelines and rules,
    • Qualification: Verify functionality and performance of the design under specified conditions,
    • Documentation: Document all steps for review moments, knowledge transfer and traceability.
  • Have good understanding in digital hardware design,
  • Deliver analog circuits for mixed signal board designs,
  • Take ownership and manage analog board designs throughout entire process,
  • Know stakeholders and manage expectations,
  • Make work breakdown and effort estimation for the various designs, adjusted with other stakeholders,
  • Act as the Electronic Development representative in a multidisciplinary design team,
  • Interact intensively with colleagues from other groups and departments when required,
  • Support & coordinate outsourced development activities at co-developers,
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary roadmap concerning analog electronics designs within the ASML products,
  • Contribute to analysis and solution of reliability issues.

Education

Master degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.

Experience

  • Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.
  • Maximum 1 year of relevant work experience.

Context of the position

The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E, Electronics Development (EDEV) cluster is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.

Analog electronics design engineers report to the group manager PCBA & ELF Design group or the delegated team leader.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
