Lam’s Sr. Manager of Business Operations in manufacturing directs the development and implementation of activities maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing a high-quality product to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives, and future vision of manufacturing operations within a cross-matrixed and global organization. Success in this role requires being a leader, strategic thinker, and problem solver.

 

 

 

What You’ll Do

•    Taking vison and strategy from Global Manufacturing (MFG) VP and socializing it with all Lam MFG sites, and ensuring they understand and execute to the strategy and vision.
•    Initiating and managing the end-to-end Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process within Global MFG and with external stakeholders, and ensuring execution to AOP schedule
•    Scheduling and coordinating the Annual MFG Summit Meeting with all Lam MFG sites and developing agenda with input from Global MFG leadership team.
•    Responsible for annual Capital Expenditures (CapEx) and managing to the annual budget, with quarterly updates.
•    Coordinating annual corporate activities, such as Org Audits and Quarterly Operations Reviews (QORs)
•    Coordinating IT requirements from all Global MFG sites, and prioritizing actions with Lam GIS to fulfill these requirements.
•    Coordinating bi-weekly staff meetings for Global MFG Operations leadership team, including collecting input from all sites for staff meeting agenda, and publishing meeting minutes
•    Managing headcount within the annual operating budget for all Global MFG sites, with monthly reporting to ensure Global MFG stays within the budget.
•    Collaborating with Global MFG sites to identify, collect and publish best practices from each site, and proliferate best known methods (BKMs) to all MFG sites.

The Impact You’ll Make

Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials. May prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of management experience. An advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

•    6 years of experience leading teams in a high-tech industry, preferably with a minimum of 3 years in management roles
•    Familiarity with a product line operational functions including finance, Product Development & Release (PDR) and organizational management
•    History of driving predictable business results: making aggressive commitments and meeting them
•    High aptitude with business processes and operational execution
•    Excellent leadership and communication skills; bias to action
•    Adaptable, flexible, and versatile leader with strong analytical capabilities
•    Operational background preferred
•    Able to lead & influence technically strong employees

•    Education: BS/BA, MBA preferred
•    Operations background, preferably in semiconductor industry

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $129,000.00 -  $272,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
