Introduction to the job

As our Senior Manager Payroll ( Manager Employee Financial Services ) you are going to make an impact in further improving all payments to our employees. You are not only responsible for payroll, but together with your team you cover Payroll Services, Share Plan Services, and Time to Payroll Services. Responsible for Europe, you are leading a team of 8 enthusiastic professionals in our Global Enabling Services team (GES). You describe yourself as a non-hierarchical people manager who should enable the mature team to operate as a high performing team.

In this role you will govern effective and efficient execution of the European (including the Veldhoven Head Office) Employee Financial Services. You need a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence with the ability to properly maintain relevant relationships with employees, line management and HR.
 

Role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the regional GES-Employee Financial Services team.

  • Govern effective and efficient regional execution of the GES-Employee Financial Services activities in accordance with global E2E processes and tooling.

  • Provide input on regional and local requirements for the global E2E Employee Financial Services process in order to achieve defined process metrics level end state.

  • Safeguard compliance to applicable laws and regulations (e.g. US GAAP, Local GAAP, Export control).

  • Ensure alignment to internal and external customer requirements.

  • Ensure staffing of people at the right competencies and ensure training and development plans in place.

  • Drive standardization, simplification and automation of the relevant processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by taking the leading role.

Education and experience

  • Masters degree in finance/business economics.

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years relevant working experience in Payroll / Employee Financial Services.

  • Experience with leading teams.

Skills

  • You know how to thrive in a corporate environment.

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

  • You are tech savvy and would like to learn more about IT developments.

  • LEAN knowledge will be considered as a big plus.
