Currently we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Almere, The Netherlands.
You will part of a team which is developing the next generation software for machine control combining the latest design principles, robotics, machine learning, big data, UI design and algorithms. You will be stationed in Almere, The Netherlands. You must be customer focused with a penchant for quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer software issues, including embedded software control systems
- Able to triage mechanical, electrical and software bugs
- Responsible to manage escalation calls with field support engineers and customers
- Work with QA / Support team to add replicated bugs to regression.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Work together as a team to collaborate on projects and solutions
Education and Experience
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
- 5-10 years of related experience within complex machinery equipment
- Software development experience in programming language Java (v.8) or other Object-Oriented Programming languages
- Experience with Control Algorithms is a plus
- Affinity with hardware (Beckhoff) is a plus
- Experience working with two or more from the following: software for machine control, Semiconductor Factory Automation (SEMI SECS/GEM), Equipment Data Acquisition (SEMI EDA / Interface A), Multi-threaded applications, real-time software, C programming, Beckhoff PLC, device drivers or other interrupt driven software preferred
- Fluent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch
