Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead head cleanliness FA activities for HAMR head (Slider Fab until HDD)
- Lead cleaning process development for HAMR in Slider Fab and downstream processes
- Design and execute the evaluation plans
- Summarize the evaluation results and identify process issues and/or opportunities
- Continuously improve competency in data analysis and cleaning process principles
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree: In Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's/Ph.D.) may be preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in Failure analysis-related applications involving magnetic head fabrication
PREFERRED:
- Background in drive failure and customer feedback is preferred
- Good fundamental understanding of basic science and technology.
SKILLS:
- Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
- Proficient in the use of data processing and statistical analysis software
- Process Development: Expertise in developing and optimizing cleaning processes for electronic components.
- Materials Knowledge: Understanding of the materials used in electronics and how various cleaning agents interact with them.
- Analytical Techniques: Proficiency with analytical methods to assess cleanliness, such as surface analysis, ion chromatography, and spectroscopy.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning equipment and technologies, including ultrasonic cleaners, vapor degreasers, and aqueous cleaning systems.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and leading junior engineers or technicians.
