Analog Devices Advanced Physical Technology (APT) Group is seeking a Senior Layout Engineer to work in partnership with the APT power architecture design team and the APT process engineering groups to perform layout for innovative new power supply topologies in both silicon-based and other new technologies, such as GaN or SiC.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the APT process and power architecture groups to design test chips in silicon, MEMS and wide bandgap technologies.
- Block floorplan, subsystem & chip level development.
- Use existing product layouts and make modification or create new layouts based on inputs from APT process and power architecture groups.
- Physical Verification using Siemens Calibre flows (DRC, LVS, Extraction & EM).
- Work with Layout group(s) in Global Operations to tape out. Handle paperwork involved
- Help generate/update L-spec, PFMEA and IOS as appropriate.
- Strong collaboration with analog design engineers to solve interesting & challenging problems.
- Develop schedules & monitor progress to achieve deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Experience with power management IC and powertrain layout and the basic process flow for test chips being designed
- Ability to lead a chip layout from floor-planning to tapeout and manage other layout engineers assisting the chip layout
- Experience with Cadence and layout tools used in ADI
- Individual should be an open-minded problem solver, self-motivated, highly functional in multi-disciplinary team settings and a team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- SB in applied electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science or other engineering disciplines.
