Principal Responsibilities:
• Responsible of new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory
• Primary responsibility is to sell the company’s products, and generally responsible for finding and generating new customers
• Typically handles more critical accounts or larger territories
• Calls on prospective customers, provides technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices
• Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in sales-related matters; understanding the customer’s business and product requirements is necessary
• Fully knowledgeable about company products
• Responsible for meeting assigned sales quota
•Overnight travel of up to 30% in the defined territory.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a thorough working knowledge of company products, company functions, marketing and/or service policies and procedures and excellent communication skills
• 7+ years of related experience required
• Highly experienced with modern software - especially MS Excel, Salesforce
• Technical aptitude to understand scientific concepts.
•Excellent organizational skills
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Able to work in a cleanroom environment, gowning up in coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, and gloves, when necessary.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 25lbs.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Total Compensation: Salary Range: ($78,400.00 - 145,600.00) & Incentive Payment: (60,000 – 45,000). This range is a good faith estimate of the expected total compensation for this position (base salary plus variable sales compensation), based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
- Incentive Payment: A percentage of your total compensation is tied to participation in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and is earned by your achievement of pre-established targets, pursuant to the terms of the SIP.
