An exciting opportunity has arisen to establish a new silicon prototyping program at Cirrus Logic focused on the development of test vehicles ranging from multi-project mask sets for device characterization of new process technologies or development of next-gen mixed-signal IP, to co-packaged multi-chip system prototypes enabling customer demos of new product solutions. Working closely with internal technical teams plus key foundry partners, this role has a broad footprint within Cirrus and benefits a candidate with a background in technology development or IC design and proven program management fundamentals.

Responsibilities: - Establish regular test vehicle cadence across multiple process technologies, working with Advanced Technology, Design, System Architect and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for future test vehicle content
- Define and implement business approval, phase gate review and change approval flows to ensure scope, budget and resource alignment with key stakeholders and decision makers
- Lead test chip development, defining scope & schedule, owning top-level schematic & layout, coordinating reticle build and final tape out with internal and external parties
- Define & coordinate prioritized post-silicon characterization plan, working with technology PMs, lab technicians and internal technology teams to deliver data to product development teams on challenging timelines
- Work with internal software development teams and other process technology stakeholders to establish a new way of storing and accessing silicon data from device characterization test vehicles
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Degree in an engineering discipline with relevant experience in the semiconductor industry in an IC design or technology development role
- Hands-on schematic & layout experience with thorough knowledge of physical verification and tape out flows
- Proven program management fundamentals with demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional engineering programs
- Demonstrates accountability, initiative and independence in approach to managing technical programs
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to appropriately summarise and tailor messaging of technical content to key stakeholders and customers
- Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment and executing challenging technical programs to tight schedules
Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Prior experience leading IC development programs, either product or test vehicles
- Hands-on experience with wafer-level silicon characterization
- Experience directly interfacing with silicon foundries in a technology development or manufacturing environment
- Experience building multi-die system prototyping solutions
- Knowledge of semiconductor device operation, manufacturing, and design enablement

This position is based in Edinburgh, UK
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
